HIKING & STREAM TREKKING - 5 DAY PROGRAMME
|
Our hiking and stream trekking programme gets the kids out on the trails and exploring some hidden gems in the wilds of Hong Kong!
In order to create a solid working foundation we begin with some easier routes before progressing onto more challenging and technical terrain as the week progresses. We will challenge the kids to embrace the spirit of adventure, but with safety always behind everything we do. Aside from hiking, we will also run a orienteering / scavenger hunt day in the middle of the week to promote teamwork and navigational skills. |

MONDAY - LION ROCK INTRODUCTORY HIKE
We kick the week off with a spectacular, but very flexible hiking route through Lion Rock Country Park. It may not be as well known, but the Lion Rock is right up there in terms of grandeur. Conquer this rugged ridge and one will witness some of Hong Kong’s finest views. Feel the intense sprawl of Kowloon and enjoy the iconic backdrop of HK Island behind - Click here for more info
TUESDAY - NG TUNG CHAI WATERFALL HIKE
Warm up on the first day with an adventure on trails through dense jungle on the slopes of Tai Mo Shan. Touring a series of stunning cascades; each waterfall is more dramatic than the last, culminating with HK's highest waterfall - Click here for more info
WEDNESDAY - COUNTRY PARK ORIENTEERING/SCAVENGER HUNT
We will break up the week with a really and engaging team building day! Splitting up the group into teams, the kids will strategise how to navigate our course and decide the best order in which to find checkpoints. A clue is collected at each checkpoint and will need to be aligned correctly in order to find one final checkpoint not marked on the map where they can find their teams’ token. Meanwhile our staff will keep an eye on proceedings in the bush. Prizes for first few teams to complete by bringing their token to HQ! We will do this in a stunning scenic setting with ocean views and rainforest, but with the central location for HQ easily accessible by road and with amenities such as toilets, kiosk and full phone signal.
THURSDAY - WONG LUNG HANG STREAM TREKKING
Hidden away within the depths of Lantau Island lies the Yellow Dragons Gorge; a secluded oasis. Boulder by boulder, one ventures upstream into a vertical landscape packed with swimming holes and waterfalls. You would not believe you're in Hong Kong! - Click here for more info
FRIDAY - MA ON SHAN EPIC
On our final day, we will finish up with a proper hike - one of the best HK has to offer! Ascend out of Ma On Shan township with us and onto dramatic mountain slopes. Climb the twin peaks of Ma On Shan and negotiate one of Hong Kong's finest ridge walks before descending to the rural town of Sai Kung. - Click here for more info
(We have scope to reorder the itinerary on the week, to work around challenging weather if needed)
